Christian Brothers University (CBU) has once again embraced its Lasallian tradition of service as September of Service (SOS) kicks off for 2025. The initiative calls on students, faculty, staff, and alums to dedicate the month to giving back to Memphis and the Mid-South through 30 days of good deeds.
September of Service began as a student-led effort to partner with a different nonprofit each day of the month. Over the years, it has grown to inspire thousands of volunteer hours across the community.
This year’s schedule includes service opportunities with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, the Mid-South Food Bank, the Humane Society, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and many more. On-campus projects and service education sessions are also planned to make participation accessible for all members of the CBU community.
It’s Not Too Late to Serve
Sign-ups for volunteer opportunities are open, with multiple options available throughout the month.
