We are very excited to jointly celebrate the Classes of 2020 and 2021 with in-person commencement ceremonies at the Renasant Convention Center (255 N Main St, Memphis, TN) on Saturday, May 29, 2021.

  • Tickets are required for admission to the Renasant Convention Center.
  • All guests must complete a COVID Health Check in advance of entering the Renasant Convention Center and be prepared to show a “green dot” on their mobile device. Guests who are unable to do so will be asked to complete a paper form prior to entrance.
  • All guests and ceremony participants must wear a mask and follow COVID safety protocols at all times while at the Renasant Convention Center.

Video/Livestream 

The 2021 Commencement ceremony will be livestreamed on this page and on the CBU YouTube channel on the day of the ceremony. The livestream will be available at the start of each ceremony and will be archived on YouTube for viewers.

Parking

Parking for graduates and guests is complimentary in the parking garage connected to the Renasant Convention Center.  The code word for complimentary parking is “LASALLIAN.” In the event that parking in the garage is not available, guests may find parking spots in the various lots around the Convention Center.  Please carry cash, as many lots do not accept credit or debit card payments.  

You Deserve to be in Lights!

To further celebrate the resilient Christian Brothers University graduating Classes of 2020 and 2021 on May 29, make plans to view the CBU-red-and-gray Mighty Lights display every half hour on May 29 from sunset to 10:30 pm on both Big River Crossing and the Hernando de Soto Bridge.

Baccalaureate Mass

Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception

Livestream Available! Join us online to watch the 2021 Baccalaureate ceremony from the Immaculate Conception Cathedral’s Facebook page.

You and two supporters are cordially invited to attend the Baccalaureate Mass on May 28, 2021, 7:00 pm, at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception (1695 Central Avenue). The event celebrates the accomplishments of our graduates, both Bachelor’s and Master’s candidates from the Classes of 2020 and 2021. 

The Baccalaureate is a time to reflect on your Christian Brothers University experience.  This event is for graduates and supporters of all faiths and degree programs. Masks are required, and everyone will also be required to complete the online COVID-19 assessment prior to entry.  

REGISTRATION FOR THE BACCALAUREATE MASS HAS CLOSED.

Undergraduates should wear regalia robe only; do not bring your cap. Graduate students should wear regalia robe and hood; please do not bring your cap. 

Families will have the opportunity to take photos and will receive a free professional photo.

CBU Legacy Society Dinner (by invitation only) 

Thursday, May 27 • 6:00 pm 

Any student who has at least one family member who is an alumnus/a of CBU (undergraduate or graduate program) is considered a legacy. Students with legacy status should contact Torie Marion in the Office of Advancement at tmarion@cbu.edu or (901) 321-3541.
