U.S. News & World Report ranks CBU the #3 Best Value University in the South.

Submitting a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) unlocks aid that will not otherwise be available. The federal deadline for filing the 2023-24 FAFSA is June 30, 2024, but deadlines have already passed for many 2023-24 state grants. The Department of Education began accepting FAFSA applications for the 2024-25 school year December 31, 2023 (a delay from the usual October 1 start date). This application will use the family’s 2022 federal income tax information.

If you have already filed your FAFSA but need to make corrections or add CBU as a recipient of your report, log in April 15 to do so.

CBU’s FAFSA code is 003482.

How to Apply for Financial Aid

Undergraduate and graduate students wanting to apply for federal, state, and institutional funds must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The information on the FAFSA is used to establish eligibility for the various financial aid programs offered at CBU. There is no separate institutional application to complete.

Determining Your Eligibility

To be eligible for financial assistance at CBU, you must meet certain requirements involving citizenship, financial need as determined by the FAFSA (above), admittance, enrollment, and academic progress as a student. Different types of financial aid awards may have additional requirements specific to the program. Merit scholarships are not dependent on the results of a FAFSA.
