Christian Brothers University was founded upon the Lasallian values of faith, community, and service. We believe that education should be available and accessible for all and are committed to Dreamers’ success. We have been supporting Dreamers and undocumented students since 2014 through partnerships with groups such as TheDream.US and Equal Chance for Education. Following is a list of Dreamer services, opportunities, and organizations that are available to current DACA and undocumented students at CBU:

TheDream.US Opportunity Scholarship

As a Dreamer, you are part of a community of over 10,000 scholars and graduates across the country. As a scholarship recipient, you are expected to keep requirements to maintain your scholarship status.

  • Maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Meet with scholarship advisor once per term
  • Graduate within four (4) years (eight semesters)
  • Complete 10 hours of community service per term

Equal Chance for Education Scholarship

Congratulations on being selected as an ECE Scholar! You are part of a select group of students from across the state of Tennessee. As a scholarship recipient, you will expected to keep requirements to maintain your scholarship status.

  • Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Meet with scholarship advisor once per term
  • Graduate within four (4) years (eight semesters)
  • Complete 10 hours of community service per term

Voices United

The mission as the Voices United student organization is to educate and engage individuals on social justice issues both on and off campus. In order to fulfill the organization’s mission statement, all leaders must be open-minded to keeping events, activities, and volunteering opportunities diverse.

Hispanic Student Association

The mission of the Hispanic Student Association is to bring awareness and celebrate the diversity that exists in Hispanic and Latin America’s history, tradition, and rich culture.
