
Graduate Certificate in Project Management
From 2010 to 2020, as the profession grows by over US$6.6 trillion, the global economy is seeing 15.7 million new project management roles created in seven project-intensive industries, according to PMI’s 2013 Project Management Talent Gap Report. Project Managment roles are expected to increase by over 13.4 million between 2010 and 2020, numbering more than 41.5 million by 2020.
Christian Brothers University School of Business is officially an Authorized Training Partner with Project Management Institute. CBU is the only ATP in Memphis that allows you to earn graduate credit and prepare for the exam simultaneously. Our Project Management graduate certificate prepares students for the PMP exam and students have the option only to take our training course.

The Graduate Certificate in Project Management (GCPM) is designed for both newcomers who want to gain knowledge and understanding of project management and for veteran project management professionals who want to enhance their skills in this area.
Students will find the Graduate Certificate of Project Management useful to enter or re-enter the project management job market, to change careers, to prepare for the PMP® exam, or for advancement in their chosen organization.
You can complete the full program in 26 weeks (three 8 week courses, with 1 week breaks in between). Each of the three courses is three academic credit hours. For individuals with the PMP certification, each course also delivers 32 PDUs.

- PMGT 682 Project Organization, Planning, and Leadership
- PMGT 683 Project Management Professional® Certification Course (This course provides 35 hours of instructions to prepare students to sit for the Project Management Professional® exam.)
Admission Requirements
Admission requirements to the Graduate Certificate in Project Management program are based on an overall evaluation of your educational needs and career objectives. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
A complete application consists of the following:
- A Graduate Certificate Enrollment Application form
- A current resume
- Official transcripts from each college and university attended
