Service and Community Engagement

Dr. Lydia Rosencrants, CPA, CMA comes to Christian Brothers University from LaGrange College, where she served as the Chair of the Department of Business and Nonprofit Studies. During her appointment as Chair, enrollment in the Business Department grew by over 200%, in part due to her work developing degree programs in Marketing and Entrepreneurship, Sports Management, Marketing Design, Poverty Studies, Applied Finance, and Nonprofit Leadership. She has been successful collaborating with faculty members and students not only in business but across the college through a focus on shared goals and educational mission. Dr. Rosencrants believes every student deserves the opportunity to pursue his or her own unique purpose in life, a belief she demonstrates through listening to the needs and desires of prospective and current students as well as employers. Through her leadership in roles such as overseeing LaGrange’s Master’s in Philanthropy and Development, she has been able to create a supportive and highly engaging environment for faculty and students and aims to bring the same focus on shared community to CBU. Dr. Rosencrants holds a PhD in Accounting from the Eli Broad School of Management at Michigan State University, and she earned her BSBA in Accounting from the University of Richmond.
