CBU Accreditation Update 12.9.25

I am thrilled to share that the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) has officially lifted Christian Brothers University’s probation status. This is an important milestone for our institution and a direct reflection of the dedication, hard work, and integrity demonstrated by our faculty, staff, and trustees.

Over the past two years, we have worked together to strengthen CBU, from reinforcing our financial foundation to designing programs and support that meet the needs of today’s learners. These collective efforts – your efforts – made this moment possible, positioning CBU for continued success.

While we are encouraged by this decision, our responsibility does not end here. Maintaining full compliance with our accreditors requires continued focus to ensure that CBU remains academically strong, financially sustainable, and aligned with the expectations of SACSCOC.

We are ready for the next chapter ahead for CBU. Together, we will continue strengthening our university for the students we serve today and for generations to come.
