Maurelian Hall

Maurelian Hall is home to first-year students, creating a welcoming community where you’ll live alongside others who are starting their college journey and figuring things out together.

Built in 1957, Maurelian Hall was the first traditional residence hall at CBU and is named in honor of Brother Maurelian Sheel, the University’s founding president. Located on East Parkway, its U-shaped design features an open courtyard that’s perfect for studying or relaxing with friends.

Today, Maurelian Hall is a co-ed residence for first-year students, featuring mostly double rooms with some singles available. Each floor has a Resident Assistant to provide support and foster community.

Maurelian Hall Residences

Maurelian Hall Hall offers suite-style living with 103 units. Each suite includes four bedrooms, a shared bathroom, and two furnished den spaces.

Room Features:

  • Singles include: XL twin bed, mattress, desk, chair, chest of drawers, and a wardrobe
  • Doubles include: two sets of XL twin beds, desks, chairs, chests, two one-door wardrobes or one two-door wardrobe
  • Bedrooms: ~9′ 4.5″ W x 13′ 3.5″ L, large windows with blinds, and wardrobe storage
  • Shared den: ~14.5’ x 10’ 10”, furnished with a loveseat, chair, and table
  • Bathrooms: ~9.5’ x 9’, with shower, toilet, and double sinks
