This program will provide an overview of topics in chemical, civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering.  This program will provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to build basic electrical circuits, program the Arduino microcontroller, produce structural concrete, and design a water treatment system. Students will complete a series of educational projects using the Sparkfun Inventors Kit (SIK); learn how to mix structural concrete; experience the fun of designing a chemical reactor using simple chemicals that are readily available in our kitchens; pilot drones through obstacles with harp moves and daring dives; play with Oobleck, a magical slime that is both liquid and solid; and learn how to design a water filtration system. By the end of the week, each student will build an aerodynamic foam glider, learn to fly drones, make their own concrete samples, build a water filtration system, and spend one whole day on an off-campus field trip. Participants will also learn aircraft safety rules and other rules necessary to pass the Federal Aviation Administration “The Recreational UAS Safety Test” (TRUST) exam. This will allow them to legally operate unmanned aircraft for recreational purposes.  This program will provide a fantastic experience for any student interested in becoming an electrical engineer, computer engineer, computer scientist, structural engineer, or environmental engineer.
