University of Dallas & CBU Business Partnership
Christian Brothers University and the University of Dallas are launching 4+1 pathways that allow eligible CBU undergraduates to begin online graduate business coursework while completing their bachelor’s degrees. Students can pursue an MBA or one of six specialized master’s degrees through UD’s Gupta College of Business.
Christian Brothers University (CBU) and the University of Dallas (UD) have announced a new academic partnership creating 4+1 pathways through which qualified CBU undergraduates may begin graduate business coursework while completing their bachelor’s degrees.
Through the partnership, eligible students may take online courses from the University of Dallas Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business and continue into one of seven graduate programs: an MBA or an MS in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, Cybersecurity, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, or Financial Planning.
The pathways create a more direct transition into graduate study, allowing students to build specialized knowledge earlier and maintain momentum toward their academic and professional goals. Qualified students may transition into the UD graduate program after completing their bachelor’s degree and meeting admission requirements.
“We are excited to launch this partnership with Christian Brothers University, which opens new doors for students through both our 4+1 accelerated degree pathways and our graduate concentration agreements,” said Dr. J. Lee Whittington, dean of the Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business. “By combining our academic strengths and leveraging flexible online delivery, we are providing students with greater access to rigorous, values-based business education. This collaboration not only supports students in pursuing advanced degrees and specialized concentrations, but also reflects our shared commitment to ethical leadership, academic excellence and preparing principled professionals ready to make a positive impact in their organizations and communities.”
Courses will be offered online through synchronous and asynchronous formats, giving students greater flexibility as they balance their studies, work and other responsibilities. Advisers from both universities will coordinate course selection and support students as they move from undergraduate to graduate study.
“This partnership comes at an exciting time as our School of Business prepares to become the McEniry School of Business, Education and Humanities,” said Matthew Domas, Ed.D., Vice President for Academic Affairs at Christian Brothers University. “It gives CBU students a clear and flexible path to pursue advanced credentials in high-demand fields while preserving the academic rigor, personal support, and values-centered education that define the CBU experience.”
The agreement also broadens graduate course access at both institutions. CBU graduate students may take select UD courses supporting concentrations in Accounting, Leadership and Marketing, while UD students may access CBU coursework associated with its Certificate in Project Management.
The collaboration brings together two Catholic institutions committed to academic excellence, ethical leadership and service. By combining their complementary strengths, UD and CBU aim to expand academic choice, strengthen professional preparation and create more flexible pathways to advanced education.
Christian Brothers University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. The University of Dallas Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business is accredited by AACSB International, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
