The Center for Digital Instruction holds events and training throughout the year. We provide opportunities for faculty to improve Canvas skills, redesign syllabi for better online learning, and develop new ways to reach students with technology.

Canvas Training

Take our completely online Canvas Basics course to learn how to add assignments, build quizzes, create discussions and add audio and media files to your Canvas shell. This training is useful for fully online and hybrid course offerings, as well as using Canvas for anything from a repository to grading to course administration.

Online Faculty Training

This five-week, fully online course takes what you’ve learned in Canvas Basics and Intermediate and moves beyond into online course creation based on logical organization, established pedagogical frameworks, and student learning outcomes. Our experienced instructional designers lead this invaluable course.
