June 24, 2020

Dear CBU Community,

As part of our daily evaluation of current public health conditions in our region, we have determined that it is prudent for us to delay the next phase of our Return to the Workplace timeline which was scheduled to take effect on Monday, June 29.

As a campus community, we will remain in Phase 1 of our Return to the Workplace timeline until further notice is provided by the University.

Maintaining the current number of us who are working on campus for the time being is an added assurance toward protecting those employees who are presently providing essential services to our CBU community through required on-campus work activities.

Those employees scheduled to return to campus on June 29 should continue to work remotely and stay in close communication with their supervisors to address any on-campus needs. This group includes Department Heads, Directors, Associate Directors, and Assistant Directors. If supervisors should require any additional employees to return to campus at this time, they should contact the Director of Human Resources regarding any such proposed on-campus work plans.

We will provide updated information regarding our Return to Work plan to the CBU community by Wednesday, July 8.

I want to thank all of you for doing your part to protect our community and reduce the spread of COVID-19. Please continue to wear face masks when in public, wash your hands frequently, and practice social distancing. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to campus as soon as we feel it is appropriate to do so.

Thank you,

Ron Brandon
CFO of Christian Brothers University
