CBU Forward Annual Fund

Christian Brothers University is currently facing a financial challenge that is requiring us to take serious and immediate action in order to guarantee a sustainable future for our mission. The path forward will need to include the participation of every member of our community. The involvement of the CBU community is instrumental in shaping the next 150 years for CBU, and we are very grateful for the outpouring of support from alumni and friends that has already been received. 

A Reimagined Annual Fund

In that spirit, we are proud to announce CBU Forward, a reimagined annual fund that provides our donors the opportunity to specifically target their support to almost any area on campus. With five main categories for giving, you are able to target your gift to the area that means the most to you. Any gift you can make, big or small, will make a difference and help move CBU forward.

What is Day of Giving?

Day of Giving is when members of the CBU community come together for 24 short hours to make a lasting impact on our beloved Christian Brothers University. It’s an opportunity during our Founder’s Week to recognize our rich history and plan for a bright future. Day of Giving this year is April 10! Gifts made on Day of Giving go to CBU Forward, the 2023-24 campaign designed to preserve and protect the important work of the university. Your gift will ensure 150 more years of Lasallian education here in Memphis.

Where Do My Unrestricted Funds Go?

Gifts to the CBU Forward annual fund support and cultivate academic enrichment. These funds will support every department including the Plough Library.

• Academic Enrichment: A well-rounded education is about more than textbooks and lectures. CBU Forward provides support for unique academic enrichment opportunities in every department including the Plough Library.
• Scholarships: More than 99% of CBU students receive institutional aid in the form of scholarships and grants.
• Student Life:  Life on a college campus is about caring for the whole self. Student life supports health care, career services, social services, and more.
• Campus and Facilities: CBU is located on a beautiful 75-acre wooded campus with more than 30 buildings and facilities. CBU Forward ensures that these assets are maintained and upgraded as needed.
• Athletics: The CBU Athletic Department manages team and club sports as well as intramurals and other activities. The opportunity to play supports physical and personal development of our athletes.

From scholarships and student internships to facilities and athletic equipment, the CBU Forward annual fund allows us to take the campus experience beyond the classroom and allows opportunity for all of our students. All gifts to CBU from supporters like you make CBU an affordable institution and better prepare our students for their careers and lives.
