Welcome Experience

Every year, CBU says “Welcome!” to its new students with a myriad of activities.

August 21-23, 2026

The Division of Student Affairs can’t wait to kick off the 2026-2027 academic year! All students are invited to attend Welcome Experience 2026 on Friday, August 21 – Sunday, August 23, 2026.

This is an opportunity for the CBU community to officially greet the Class of 2029 and to invite returning students back for a new year. We hope that you are just as excited to be at CBU as we are to have you!

The Welcome Experience is for both residential and commuter students and is an integral part of the First Year Experience. All first-year freshmen are required to attend. You’ll have an opportunity to learn more about campus, give back to the community, enjoy activities, and start building lifelong friendships.

• First Year and new residential students will move onto campus, Friday, August 21, 2026. Specific housing and move-in procedures are available to residents in their CBU e-mail. 
• First Year commuter students should plan to join the community on Friday, August 21, 2026 at 4:30 pm and plan to attend events throughout the entire weekend.
•  Upperclassmen will be welcomed back to campus on Saturday, August 22, 2026.
