CBU welcomes applications from students who are not only academically successful but also committed to making an impact on the world around them.
Admission to CBU is competitive. Each application is reviewed based on grade point average, standardized test scores, personal writing sample, and an academic recommendation.
To be considered for admission, applicants must submit test scores from either the American College Test (ACT) or Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT). To be considered for CBU’s highest academic scholarship, the Trustee Scholarship, you should take one of the tests by November of your senior year. Test scores after November will still be considered for other academic scholarships.
Advanced Credit Policies
If you have participated in Advanced Placement (AP) exams or International Baccalaureate (IB) exams, you may be eligible for college credit. You can take a look at the exam equivalencies with the Registrar’s Office.
Christian Brothers University automatically awards academic scholarships and awards to new students when they apply for admission based on cumulative high school GPA and admission standardized test score. The only exceptions are the competition-based scholarship events, which require that you submit additional application materials in order to be considered.View Scholarships
