Christian Brothers University has an agreement with Saint George’s University Limited to offer qualified students the opportunity to pursue a career in medicine or veterinary medicine at Saint George’s University, following successful graduation with a degree in a pre-approved pre-medicine or pre-veterinary medicine program Christian Brothers University, allowing the students to obtain the BS/MD or BS/DVM degree.

In the 4+4 Program established by this Agreement, students will pursue a Bachelor of Science in Biology, a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, a Bachelor of Science in Physics, a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, or a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science at CBU and after successfully completing the four year premedical or pre-veterinary medicine curriculum at CBU, and having met all prerequisite coursework for entry into SGU’s School of Medicine or SGU’s School of Veterinary Medicine.

The qualified medical student will be eligible to complete the first two years of medical study in Grenada, or can complete year one at Northumbria University in the UK, year two in Grenada, and the final two years of this program in clinical rotations at SGU’s affiliated hospitals in the United States and/or the United Kingdom. Qualified veterinary students will be eligable to complete three years of study in Grenada and their final clinical years at SGU’s affiliated schools in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Austrailia, Ireland, or the Netherlands.
